Myers-Duren Harley-Davidson is proud to welcome you to Rider’s Edge® the Harley-Davidson Academy of Motorcycling. Myers-Duren has partnered with Tulsa Community College (TCC) to bring you this tremendous program which will introduce you to an exciting sport that, more often than not, becomes a lifelong passion.
A proven blend of classroom instruction and range riding, the Rider’s Edge® New Rider Course delivers the basics of motorcycle operation in Harley-Davidson style. You’ll learn from devoted instructors certified by both the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) and Harley-Davidson to create a relaxed, supportive environment that fosters camaraderie and confidence. With a limited class size of twelve, hands-on instruction, and real-road experience you’ll learn the skills you need to get the most out of riding. And, after passing a written and riding skills evaluation, you’ll receive an MSF RiderCourse™ Completion Card that exempts you from the riding portion of the motorcycle license test in Oklahoma. Most insurance companies will also offer discounts upon your passing the course.
For the cost of $295 you’ll receive 25 hours of instruction conducted over portions of five days. A 492cc Buell Blast is furnished for you to learn the riding fundamentals. There are two dealership/classroom sessions held on Thursday & Friday nights from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. focusing on welcoming and orienting you to the exciting elements of motorcycle riding. On Saturday & Sunday, eight-hour sessions are conducted on the training range, located at the TCC West Campus, where you’ll develop & hone the skills that will make you ready for the road. A three-hour graduation/celebration finalizes the course at Myers-Duren on the following Tuesday from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
